Yuya Kubo

Yuya Kubo, 29, is a Japanese international and a versatile, attacking midfielder for FC Cincinnati in MLS. Kubo joined as a Designated Player in January 2020 from KAA Gent. Kubo has made 13 senior appearances for Japan, scoring two goals and adding two assists. Yuya began his professional career in the Japanese second division, before earning a transfer to the renowned Swiss side, BSC Young Boys. Kubo evolved into a key squad player, scoring 39 goals and providing 15 assists in 4 seasons at Young Boys. In 2017, Kubo was transferred to the Belgian First Division club, KAA Gent. In 73 appearances for the Belgian side, Kubo tallied 25 goals and 6 assists.
